Chronomagic Mission 1

CM NPCs are in Qeynos Harbor and East Freeport. Could not find the Mission Tasker NPC in Neriak Dockside Market area, though the mentor NPC is there.

Mission of the day was to Court of Innovation, in Klak’anon. Mentored to lvl 65 and easily duo’ed it with Chrycia (80 Monk) and Praise (80 Inqi). Good write-up on EQ2 Wiki for this instance.

Starting Kunark at 63

Started in Dreg’s Landing with Inzna (Coercer) at level 63 last week. Mobs are orange and tough-ish. Fairly slow going without heals. Even with Trellin (60 Troub?) along, mobs can still take me into red on health. But exp is fast with quests. Inzna is at 68 already.

Ward of Elements raiding

Been here primarily as Praise (Inqi 80). Raid leadership has the first two named down pat. Able to do them (and associated hall trash) in less than an hour with minimal deaths or wipes. Carefully constructed groups but effective.

Thorbin (80 Bruiser) MTs very well here. Chrycia is definitely a “country monk”.

Tips: Elemental Remedy is must-have for everyone. If trash AE DOTs, you need to be able to cure yourself instantly. Learn the habit of interrupting casting (Esc) and curing. ProfitUI is supposed to do this for you but I’m still doing it manually. And some of my “advanced raid” heal buttons are broken.

Yynzik the Scornridden

Group was me, Gilly, Goldenflame, Ualraig, Artificer, Arrog.

Successful after 1-2 attempts. Everyone needs to have Noxious Remedy on them. Arcane Remedy might help, but effects did not seem significant. Yynzik also does something to drain mana; seems targeted, not whole group.

Monday night: Simple quests, about 10 minutes to do. May do this with Sooja, Sooji, et al for collections.

Kurn’s Tower Notes

Sunday night: Entered the group instance of Kurn’s Tower (”Breaching the Void”). The group was me (80 Monk), Praise (80 Inqi), Arrog (80 Pally), Ualraig (80 Troub), Goldenflame (80 Templar), and Foof (80 Conj).

First floor named – Jennre Warsinger – took multiple attempts. Jennre will resurrect burynais as adds during the fight. Usually 4-6 can be raised by the end of the fight, and they are still active after Jennre is dead. General strategy was to kill Jennre afap and ignore the adds. Best to target Jennre directly and have a /target key also.

Ancient Void-Touched Wampus spawns at the elevator. Big big knockback and stun, but not too hard of a fight.

Cleared second floor of trash. One attempt against named was unsuccessful.

Monday night: Kurn’s again. The group was me (80 Monk), Arrog (80 Pally), Ualraig (80 Troub), Goldenflame (80 Templar), Gillyflower (80 Warden), and Arador (80 Ranger). Multiple attempts before killing Thorvalakk, due to not knowing that he mem-wipes. Telvorsinn to a few attempts before succeeding; tough fight but more straightforward.

Did a few attempts against Yynzik the Scornridden but unsuccessful.
